Courtney Hope Would Love to Return to THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL

Tags:

After three years on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL, Courtney Hope took her character of Sally Spectra over to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS in 2020, where she continues to bring the drama! Still, the actress has admitted that she would love to bring her alter ego back to her old home in Los Angeles.

“Sally basically left L.A. with her tail between her legs,” Hope explained in a recent issue of Soap Opera Digest. “She had to reinvent herself in Genoa City and now she’s the CEO of a media company. I think it would be fun for Sally to drop in at Forrester Creations so everyone can see that she’s a respected businesswoman now and doing very well. It could also be a way for her to restore her reputation with the people she’s hurt.”

The actress also confided that in addition to the storyline possibilities, the crossover could also prove helpful for some viewers who — even after two years — still haven’t caught on to the soap swap. “It could be a way for B&B fans to know, ‘Wait, she’s over on Y&R now?’” Hope mused. “I still see comments on social media from fans who don’t know where my character is, so Sally’s couple of days in L.A. could direct some people in the audience to tune into Y&R to see how she’s doing. Maybe Brad [Bell, B&B’s executive producer/headwriter] will read this and really think about it.”

Well, B&B and Y&R recently revisited the past shared between Deacon Sharpe and Nikki Newman as Sean Kanan appeared on Y&R and Melody Thomas Scott on B&B, so maybe Sally could also pay a visit to the West Coast again. With soaps, you never know what might be around the corner, so stay tuned!
