THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL

Don Diamont Explains Why Bill and Katie Should Be Together on B&B

Bill and Katie have been through quite a roller coaster on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL, but Don Diamont is fully behind the pairing and believes that the two characters bring out the best in each other. “Katie coming into his life softened him,” the actor told Soap Opera Digest of his alter ego, “Dollar” Bill Spencer. “In fact, it was that moment where he could have taken advantage of a drunk Katie and he didn’t. That’s when you saw some heart, some scruples, some glimmer of a moral conscience.”

The couple has definitely had their ups and downs, but that journey is what has solidified Bill and Katie as a fan favorite… and a favorite of Diamont’s! “Ultimately, it’s the Beauty and the Beast story,” he mused, adding with a laugh, “and while I think I could play both parts, I was most certainly the best in that story.

“That’s his most crucial, life-changing relationship,” he continued. “And initially, he was so fiercely protective of her. She softened his edges and he brought some tenacity out in her. I loved that he helped her to see she is so much more than maybe she thinks she is. And she made him realize that he can be better than who he thinks she is. That is so crucial.”

While Bill may still want Katie back, she remains determined to move on with her life. However, he hasn’t been able to make any progress in changing her mind because they haven’t actually been on-screen in quite some time. So keep watching B&B to see what happens next for these two and if Bill can win her heart all over again! (But first, voice your opinion on the pairing in our online poll below!)
