B&B’s Katherine Kelly Lang Shares an Update on Her Recovery

Tags:

Well, it looks like THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL star Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke) is already on the mend and doing great after seriously injuring herself over Mother’s Day weekend! On May 9, the actress reported that while out horseback riding with friends, she slipped on a trail while on foot and broke her ankle in three places. However, by May 12, she was relaxing by the sea in some very special company.

“Enjoying the day with my mom having lunch at Moonshadows in Malibu” Lang shared on Instagram with a video featuring clips of her and her mother enjoying mimosas at the seaside as well as footage of the restaurant’s menu and her foot in a brace. “My mom came into town to help me with my broken ankle.”

The video also features a shot of a beautiful blue Gucci bag with a yellow strap bearing the initials “KKL” that was a gift from her beau, Dominique Zoida. “I got a new purse from my honey which I love and a new boot today for my leg,” Lang explained. “I am a lucky girl to be surrounded by so much love. And I want to thank all of you for all your well wishes, too! It really means a lot to me! Thank you.”

Along with John McCook (Eric), Lang is one of the only two remaining original cast members of B&B, so she was eager to get back to work on the soap, despite her injury. There has been no official word on whether or not the actress’ injury will be written into the show or not, but since Lang can’t put any weight on that leg for six weeks, you can expect Brooke to be doing her scenes sitting down for a while!

We’re happy to see that Lang is already healing nicely and keeping her spirits up (a visit from Mom will do that!), so please join us in wishing her a speedy recovery so she can be back in fighting shape soon. And then she can get right back on that horse again!
