Kim Matula Previews Her New Hallmark Christmas Movie!

Tags:

Hallmark Channel has rolled out its annual “Countdown to Christmas” programming, and THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL alumna Kim Matula (ex-Hope) will star in Ghosts of Christmas Always, the feel-good holiday film airing this Sunday, October 30!

A spin on the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol, the movie follows Katherine, one of three ghosts who must help lost soul Peter (played by Ian Harding) rediscover his holiday spirit. But this year, the assignment is a bit unusual.

In an interview with Soaps.com, Matula previewed Ghosts of Christmas Always, which is the actress’ first movie for the Hallmark Channel. “Katherine Marley is the Ghost of Christmas Present,” she explained, explaining that her character’s last name is a nod to Jacob Marley, the Ghost of Christmas Past in A Christmas Carol. “She works at the Department of Restoring Christmas Spirit. You have your team to work with, Past, Present, and Future, three ghosts, and their task every year is to find a person who needs to be Scrooged because they have lost their Christmas spirit.”

But when Katherine and her colleagues, Roy and Adele, are given this year’s mission, they are shocked to discover that Ian isn’t the typical Scrooge-like miser. “Their mark this year doesn’t seem to really need his Christmas spirit restored,” Matula teased. “So why has he been chosen? You’ll have to watch the movie to find out.”

Well, if we know anything about Hallmark Channel movies—and we do!—we are willing to bet that Ian and Katherine will have a happily ever after… together! “Katherine finds a life that she was not expecting,” shared Matula.

Ghosts of Christmas Always will premiere on Sunday, Oct. 30, at 8 p.m. ET on Hallmark Channel. Check out the trailer for the movie below!
