Kimberlin Brown Celebrates Her Sheila-versary!

Please join us in congratulating Kimberlin Brown on her 30th anniversary playing THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL villainess Sheila Carter! To celebrate the milestone moment, Brown was feted with a party held on the B&B set hosted by executive producer and headwriter Bradley Bell. And the actress felt all the love as she reflected on the role of a lifetime!

“Thirty years on B&B today!” the actress wrote on Instagram, sharing a photo of her and Bell from the party. “Such a special and amazing day with everyone. So humbled, so grateful, so happy to be where I am.”

Brown first made her debut as Nurse Sheila Carter on B&B’s sister soap, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, in 1990. After wreaking havoc on Genoa City for two years, Sheila faked her death and popped up on B&B in October 1992, making a new life for herself in Los Angeles. And the City of Angels — and the Forrester family! — hasn’t been the same since! Over the years, Brown has crossed back and forth between the two shows multiple times, leaving a trail of destruction in Sheila’s wake and garnering two Daytime Emmy nominations as Outstanding Supporting Actress for her work.

“It pays to be evil,” Bell teased in a speech celebrating the guest of honor, which Brown later shared as a reel on Instagram. “If you think about it, on television to celebrate 30 years of anything is pretty special. Actresses with a sparkle in their eyes are hard to find. And you, Kimberlin, you have a sparkle. But it’s a little different than most. It’s special… and let’s all face it, it’s terrifying.”

As the gathered crowd of colleagues and reporters roared with laughter at his joke, Bell continued his praise of Brown. “You scare me, you scare the crew, you scare your castmates, you scare the press and your fans around the world. But in a wonderful way… Whenever you’re on the screen, we are riveted to you and your performance. You are amazing and that’s why we celebrate you today. You’ve been named the greatest soap villain in the world and it’s a well-earned title.”

Looking ahead to Brown’s future on the soap, Bell assured the group that they need not worry about the fact that Sheila is presumed dead and has a laundry list of charges stacked against her. “Sheila has no way out this time. Do you believe that?” the showrunner asked. “I can tell you that Sheila will rise from the ashes like never before. We have something incredibly exciting in store.”

In the caption of her reel, Brown once again shared how touched she was by the “wonderful” celebration. “So honored,” she wrote. “I’m at a loss for words.”

Congratulations to Brown, and we are looking forward to what’s to come!
