Sheila Carter, the villainess who was so notorious she couldn’t be contained to just one soap, has finally met her maker! While stalking Steffy on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL, the tables were turned in the Feb. 26 episode which ended with Steffy stabbing Sheila to death!

Kimberlin Brown, who first began playing Sheila back in 1990 on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, made the villainess a fan favorite and so popular that in 1992, she moved over to sister soap B&B to continue wreaking havoc! The actress bounced back and forth between the two shows over the years, so saying farewell to this character was difficult for her.

“Well, you know, it’s a tough place for me to be in right now; I’m not gonna lie about this,” Brown told TV Insider. “I guess if anyone were going to take Sheila down, I’m happy it’s Steffy. I just wish that no one was taking Sheila down. It’s my happy place where I have been so blessed to be for over 35 years. But I’ve had a good run at it, so I’m one of the lucky ones, there’s no doubt about it.”

Of course, Steffy may have gotten rid of Sheila, but her presence will linger for some time as everyone deals with the fallout from her death. Steffy will naturally be shaken to the core, having taken someone’s life (even if it was a notorious psychopath stalking her and her family), but things will be even touchier with her husband Finn, because Sheila was also his mother. Let’s just say that their marriage could find itself on very shaky ground in the months to come!

Recently, everyone believed Sheila dead when she made it appear that she’d been eaten by a bear, but this would seem to be a bit more permanent of an ending for the character. Still, Sheila has died a few other times in the past and like the proverbial bad penny, just kept popping up. And in soaps, even when there is a body, creative writers can still find a way to bring a character back from the dead. So is this really the last we’ll see of Sheila Carter? Only time will tell!
