Matthew Atkinson Is Coming Back to B&B!

When Thomas took Douglas and left for Paris on The Bold & The Beautiful in March, some fans might have wondered if Matthew Atkinson had left the soap. Well, there’s still so much story left to tell with Hope that it was only a matter of time before he returned and it looks like that day will be coming up soon!

Atkinson recently shared a selfie of himself in his B&B dressing room on his Instagram Stories, pointing at the monitor behind him featuring Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter) and joking about his co-star stealing scenes. Unfortunately, Stories are only visible for 24 hours, so it’s gone now.

Although B&B is not yet confirming Atkinson’s return or when viewers can expect to see him back on screen, Soap Hub is reporting that he should be airing in the middle of June.

Atkinson made his daytime debut playing Austin Travers on The Young & The Restless and took over the oft-recast role of Thomas Forrester in March 2019. There are no upcoming projects listed on his IMDb page, so he didn’t do any moonlighting during the few months he was off. Perhaps he was just enjoying life with his new wife, Brytnee Ratledge? A delayed honeymoon after their December 2023 nuptials?

At Steffy’s suggestion, Thomas took Douglas and left for Europe back in March after Hope once again turned down another of his marriage proposals. While he’s been gone, Hope has been spending quite a bit of time with Finn, so when Thomas comes home, things might be even more complicated than when he left!
