On THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL, the Forresters are already in hell dealing with Sheila Carter’s return to their lives. But the situation is about to get even worse for the family because the other thorn in their collective side, Deacon Sharpe, will literally come waltzing on the door when Emmy winner Sean Kanan reprises his role starting with the episode airing on Oct. 7!
Earlier this week, the soap teased that there would be a “bold” return happening that would take viewers by surprise, and Kanan took great delight in revealing that he would be making as Hope’s father. “I’m baaaack!” the actor shared on Twitter, teasing fans to tune in to B&B “and see what daytime’s baddest bad boy has in store for the Forresters.” Over on Instagram, Kanan made a similar post, writing, “Daddy’s back! So great to be home.”
The actor tagged co-star Kimberlin Brown (Sheila) in his Twitter post and used the hashtag #sheilacarter on Instagram, indicating that Deacon and the villainess will be teaming up to wreak even more havoc on the Forresters than Sheila’s been able to do herself since revealing that she is the biological grandmother of Steffy’s baby, Hayes!
In the teaser above released by B&B announcing Deacon’s return, the bad boy is seen walking through the door carrying a duffel bag before dropping it on the floor and smirking at a stunned Liam, Hope, Brooke, and Ridge, who are all gathered in the living room. Brooke pleads with their daughter to tell Deacon he can’t be a part of her life, but Hope seems to be torn between granting her mother’s request and letting her father back in. “I can’t!” she exclaims. When asked by Ridge what he wants, Deacon promises, “I’m not going to cause any trouble.” But Brooke doesn’t buy that for a minute! “God, here we go again,” she says in exasperation.
Kanan made his B&B debut back in 2000, stirring up trouble for five years before exiting Los Angeles. Deacon later showed up on sister soap THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, causing drama in Genoa City from 2009-’12 before returning to B&B again in 2014. He hung around until 2017, when he was sent off to prison for having shot at his ex-wife, Quinn.
At first glance, Deacon has presumably been released from prison and come back to Los Angeles to make amends with his daughter. But if we know anything about the schemer, he always has an ulterior motive! And we can’t wait to see what kind of havoc Deacon and Sheila wreak on the Forresters together!
