After Sheila gunned her and Finn down in the alleyway, Steffy was rushed to the hospital where she remained in critical condition. Sadly, Finn didn’t make it. “You need to wake up,” Thomas urges his sister as he sits by her hospital bed. And Bridget offers her parents an update on Steffy’s progress. “Her condition remains critical,” the doctor informs Ridge and Taylor. “She’s still unresponsive.”
But Thomas knows that while he agreed to keep Sheila’s secret that she pushed Brooke off the wagon, he begins to suspect that Steffy refused to do the same. “Are you the reason that my sister’s fighting for her life?” he asks her. But Sheila, still overwhelmed with guilt over killing her own son, continues to play innocent. “The idea of Steffy clinging to life in there scares me just as much as it scares you,” she insists.
Of course, Sheila is hoping for a much different outcome than Thomas where Steffy is concerned. Because when the patient opens her eyes, everyone wants to know what she remembers about what happened. “Who do you think put you here?” Ridge asks his daughter when she finally awakens. Will Steffy remember that Sheila was the shooter who killed Finn and put her in the hospital? And if she does recall that fateful night, is there a way for Sheila to silence her before she reveals the horrible truth?
