Yes, That Was Rena Sofer’s Last Episode of THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL
Fans were stunned when Rena Sofer announced that she was leaving THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL, but many were also confused when her last episode as Quinn offered a kind of happy ending but gave no indication of what was going to happen to the character in the future!
Sofer taped her final episode of B&B back on Aug. 5, and it aired on Aug. 29. During the show, Quinn and Carter canoodled in the office and he later surprised her with a romantic dinner. After everything they’d been through to be together, the couple was finally able to celebrate their love. But while Carter told Quinn, “When I look in your eyes, I see a whole future,” fans were left questioning what that future might possibly be with one of the actors exiting the soap!
Although Sofer has said her goodbyes to the cast, crew, and fans of B&B, she has also made a point of praising co-star Lawrence Saint-Victor’s talent and urging viewers to keep watching to see what happens to Carter as his story continues. But what kind of story will he have without Quinn?
While it’s possible that “Quarter” can enjoy their happily ever after with Quinn remaining off-camera, that would seriously limit the storyline possibilities for Carter. He can’t very well get involved in a new romance if he’s happy with Quinn. And there’s no point in setting him up with a new lady because Quinn won’t be around to confront him about cheating on her.
It would also be unusual for B&B to write Quinn off without the actress being available for a farewell scene. Killing the character off-camera would be kind of disrespectful, and having Carter just tell everyone he and Quinn broke up would be a waste of good drama. So perhaps the soap is planning to recast the role with another actress and is leaving Quinn on the back burner until they can find just the right person?
