Adrienne Frantz Asks for Prayers for Her Sick Baby Boy

One of the most heartbreaking things that a mother can go through is standing by completely helpless while her child is sick. So, our hearts go out to daytime alum Adrienne Frantz (ex-Amber, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS/THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL), who had to take her newborn son, Killian, to the emergency room at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles this weekend.

On May 21, Frantz shared the news on Instagram that her baby boy was ill. Sharing a selfie from the emergency department, the former B&B and Y&R star kneeled next to Killian’s infant carrier as she asked her followers to send good thoughts. “Nothing like being in the hospital with your newborn,” the actress wrote. “He has been up all night with a really high fever for an 11-week-old. Say some prayers for little Killian.”

Fever-reducing medication should not be given to an infant younger than three months old (like Killian) without a doctor’s approval. So when Killian’s high fever raged on for several hours, Frantz had to take her son to the emergency room for medical attention.

The situation was undoubtedly scary for Frantz and her husband, Scott Bailey (Sandy, GUIDING LIGHT). But according to the update she posted the next day, her sweet little guy was handling it all like a trouper with a big smile on his face. “We are still in the ER waiting on more tests,” she explained. “Little Killian was so brave for his IV.”

Killian was kept quite entertained by his fierce mama while they were waiting, and even had a sweet treat! “He loves when Mommy sings the Beatles to him, and a nurse put sugar water on a binki [pacifier] so he tasted sugar for the first time!” added Frantz, who recently appeared on the DAYS OF OUR LIVES spin-off, BEYOND SALEM, alongside her husband as Sophie and Miles. “I love this kid so much! I hope he is okay!”

Hopefully, Killian’s test results will come back with positive news, and he’ll be back at home with his big brother, Lion, and big sister, Amelie, in no time!
