Soap-Hopper Amelia Heinle Reveals Why Y&R Is Home (EXCLUSIVE)

Having gotten her start in daytime TV as LOVING’s Steffi and ALL MY CHILDREN’s Mia, former soap-hopper Amelia Heinle says she recognized that she’d found something special at THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS. At first, “I assumed that I wouldn’t be at Y&R long before going on to the next show,” she admitted to Soaps In Depth. “The first show that I was on [LOVING], I was so young, so after a time, I wanted to try something new.

“Then the second soap [AMC], I didn’t really want to stay there,” Heinle continued. “I liked a lot of people there and made a lot of friends, but it wasn’t the same compared to when I came on Y&R. I totally fell in love with it! It’s like being part of a sports team. This is my team! I just felt like I belonged here, and as corny as this may sound, I feel like I’m rooting for this team!”
