Camryn Grimes and Cait Fairbanks Open up About Mariah and Tessa Being Moms on Y&R (EXCLUSIVE)

Mariah and Tessa enjoyed a beautiful wedding ceremony on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS and have been hoping to adopt a child to start a family together, but they’ve hit a few roadblocks along that particular path. “I believe that they’re still pretty eager to start a family but I do think that with the adoption process, it seems like it’s going to take a decent amount of time,” Cait Fairbanks (Tessa) admitted to Soaps In Depth.

However, both she and co-star Camryn Grimes (Mariah) already know what kind of moms their characters are going to be when they eventually do adopt that little boy or girl! “Well, I think that Mariah will be the disciplinary one,” Fairbanks mused.

“I was gonna say that, too!” Grimes laughed. “Mariah will be so anal! You know, you inject so much of yourself into these characters just because of the frequency of how often we play them and how much we live with them on a day-to-day basis, so I can’t make a comment about Mariah being a mom without me being like, ‘Well, I’d probably be a bit of a neurotic mess.’ And I feel like Tessa would be so easygoing and just trying to calm Mariah down and just, ‘It’s fine…’”

Fairbanks chuckled and continued along that same line of thought. “‘Honey, it’s okay. Honey, it’s fine. Honey, you’re okay,’” she added. “Yeah, I like to think Mariah’s the head and Tessa’s the neck. You’ve seen My Big Fat Greek Wedding? It’s one of my favorites. ‘The neck decides which way the head goes.’”

Of course, the “Teriah” fans are just eager for Mariah and Tessa to finally be able to adopt so everyone can see exactly what kind of moms they turn out to be once they have a baby under their roof with them. So keep watching Y&R to see what happens, because it’s only a matter of time!
