Please join us in welcoming Christel Khalil back to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS! The actress has been on maternity leave for months, welcoming her baby boy with fiancé Sam Restagno. Fans have been wondering when Lily is coming back, and now we can happily report that Khalil is back on set and taping new episodes again!

“Back at it!” the actress captioned a photo she snapped with Y&R co-stars Eric Braeden (Victor) and Bryton James (Devon) and shared on her Instagram Stories on Feb. 13. Given how far ahead the soap shoots, viewers can probably expect to see Lily back on screen sometime in early to mid-March.

Khalil already has a 13-year-old son, Michael Caden, from her previous marriage to musician Stephen Hensley. After going public with her relationship with Restagno back in 2018, she announced their engagement in April 2022. The couple then shared that they were expecting in June 2023 and while Khalil has not shared any information on the new addition to the family, when she celebrated her baby shower in October, revealed they were having a boy.

Khalil last aired back in December 2023 when Lily was written off the soap to go to California to visit her daughter, Mattie, who was traumatized after wildfires damaged her school. Unfortunately, although Lily had rekindled her relationship with Daniel, during her absence, he then went ahead and rekindled things with his other ex, Heather!

Daniel has decided to be open and honest and tell Lily that he and Heather slept together, but wanted to wait until she was back home before breaking the news. How will she react? Stay tuned, because there’s going to be plenty of fireworks ahead!
