Courtney Hope Reveals Sally’s True Feelings for Adam and Nick on Y&R
Sally may have been in a comfortable relationship with Nick on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, but when Adam kissed her, that one moment changed everything!
“I think it’s because there’s still this huge attraction to Adam,” Courtney Hope (Sally) explained in a recent issue of Soap Opera Digest. “Because she’s led such a chaotic life since childhood, Sally has always had this reluctance about falling in love because it means getting hurt. Even though she feels peace and calm in her relationship with Nick, she’s drawn to Adam because he knows who she really is and still loves her.”
Although Sally pushed Adam away after their baby died before it could be welcomed into the world, that kiss reignited those old feelings she had for him that were clearly still buried just below the surface. Which is why things got awkward when Nick declared that he was falling in love with Sally and the redhead couldn’t return the sentiment.
“I think there’s forever this part of Sally where she doesn’t find herself worthy of love,” Hope admitted. “Even though Nick is saying he’s in love with Sally, she doesn’t really feel it because she’s so in her head. Nick is such a good guy but Sally gets in her own way. I think she feels a pull to Adam because she really does believe he loves her.”
