Courtney Hope Shares an Update After Her Car Accident

Actress Courtney Hope (Sally, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS) was in a car accident near the Harry Houdini Estate in the Hollywood Hills on Dec. 4, but she took to her Instagram stories to assure everyone that both she and the people in the other vehicle are all okay.

“I just want to say thank you to everyone who reached out and sent me positivity,” Hope expressed. “I am okay physically. I’m definitely really bummed and really drained, but I am just so thankful that everyone involved is okay.”

Her voice was thick with emotion and her eyes brimmed with tears as she recounted the hours immediately following the accident. “The most wild experience was how positive and… overwhelmingly beautiful it ended up being, hanging out with the guy and his family and my family and people that witnessed this stayed for hours and workers and neighbors and Oprah’s team was at the Houdini house and them coming down and it was like… by the end, we were laughing and taking photos.

“I know that sounds absolutely crazy and ridiculous but… I was in shock,” Hope continued. “Of how in such a really heavy moment… something beautiful can come out of it. Honestly, like, all that mattered was that we were all okay.”

After Hope’s family arrived on the scene and everyone exchanged information, the actress marveled at how positive everyone was being. “Everyone was just so grateful that everyone was okay,” she confided, “and so we were just laughing at the beauty of life and the irony that we’re in front of Houdini’s house and like… it was just… crazy.

“It was so eye-opening to see that in the midst of darkness, there is light,” Hope concluded. “You just become it. Anyway, it was life-changing and I… I don’t know. I feel like something bigger was happening. I don’t know what… I really appreciate everyone that reached out and… priorities are everything man. What really matters is human beings, so… kindness and love… gratitude… goes a long way.”
