Exclusive: Y&R’s Allison Lanier on a Summer and Kyle Reunion

While Summer seems pretty happy in her new relationship with Chance on The Young & The Restless, all the drama surrounding Harrison has thrown her and Kyle back into each others’ orbit. The pair split after Kyle slept with Audra following Summer’s lies and betrayal. But could old feelings resurface?

“I think that Summer is happy with Chance right now,” Allison Lanier told Soaps In Depth. “Although I definitely think that going through this drama with Kyle, it’s bringing up some emotions. I don’t know if it’s romantic or not, but definitely, I mean, you can see in what’s playing out right now, there’s a push-pull between them.”

While Harrison’s kidnapping brought Summer and Kyle together as they reunited to save their son, the aftermath has shown that the two still aren’t quite on the same page. Kyle trusts Claire enough to hire her as Harrison’s nanny, but Summer doesn’t trust her cousin as far as she can throw her!

“There’s just a lot of emotions going on,” Lanier admitted. “But yeah, I think romantically speaking, that’s probably not going to happen right away.”

Of course, Y&R is a soap opera, and you never know what twists and turns might lay ahead. If something goes wrong with Chase, Summer might just find herself crying on Kyle’s shoulder again, and we all know what that could lead to! So stay tuned to see what happens next!
