Go Backstage at Y&R With Zuleyka Silver (and Conner Floyd!)
A pair of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS stars teamed up to offer fans a peek behind the scenes at the soap with a special backstage video! The footage is courtesy of Zuleyka Silver (Audra), who shows what a typical day at work is like, even though it’s not exactly typical, as they were shooting the Jack and Diane vow renewal that day.
The other Y&R actor involved is Conner Floyd (Chance), who narrated her video, and it was clearly off the cuff, with no script involved! As Silver enters the studio and he jokes about getting in her steps, he naturally assumes she’s headed to the makeup room, but it turns out Silver first visited her own dressing room! And once in the makeup room, Floyd hilariously declared they’re “poofing with the poofer.” (Which the captions helpfully translate as poofer=blending sponge.)
As Silver walked onto the set, Floyd mused: “Where are we headed? Who knows? Who needs trouble today? ‘Cause you know Audra Charles is gonna cause it.” Then the actor spotted himself among the guests at the wedding and quickly wondered if he was actually allowed to mention the big event. (But there’s no need to worry about spoilers because Y&R didn’t post this video until after that episode aired.)
After panning her phone around to capture herself with some of her co-stars, including Bryton James (Devon), Alison Lanier (Summer), and Melissa Ordway (Abby), Silver then headed over to the Society set where a backdrop had been hung so that photographer Howard Wise could snap some pics of the actors all dressed up for the big event. And with that, her day was done! (And sadly, so was the fun video!)
The comments quickly filled up with responses from fans and Y&R stars who all equally loved this unique take on a behind-the-scenes video. “Can Conner narrate all of these?” asked Ordway. “Love it!” Silver herself declared: “Ha ha! Amazing! Great job, Conner!”
Floyd himself pretty much summed it up when he proudly commented: “Nailed it.” When’s the next one?
