Jack Landron Cast as Amanda’s Grandfather on Y&R!
More family drama is headed Amanda’s way on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS! The soap has cast folk singer/songwriter/actor Jack Landron to play the role of Sutton Ames, Naya’s dad, who seems to have gotten himself into a legal jam. However, the family reunion won’t be a happy one for Amanda!
As Y&R viewers will recall, Amanda and her twin, Hilary, had been given up for adoption. Growing up, Amanda knew nothing of her birth family — not even that she had a twin! After learning that she and Hilary had been separated at birth, Amanda hired a private investigator to look into her background… and that’s how she discovered that her birth mom had been the college-aged daughter of a prominent Christian politician who forced Naya to give up her daughters in order to protect the family’s image!
Last week on Y&R, Naya revealed to Amanda that Sutton had been accused of murder and asked her estranged daughter to step up and help out her family. Complicating matters, it wasn’t a stranger whom Sutton apparently killed, but he’s being accused of orchestrating the car crash that took the life of Amanda’s biological father, Richard!
Will legally representing her grandfather be Amanda’s chance at reuniting with the family that essentially tossed her away? Will Sutton even want his estranged granddaughter to plead his case, knowing that it’s very likely his family’s dirty laundry will be exposed??
Landron’s TV credits include JANE THE VIRGIN, GREY’S ANATOMY, SHAMELESS, and I’M DYING UP HERE. Look for the actor to make his Y&R debut on Mon., April 5.
