Judith Chapman Stars in the Powerful 9/11 Play ‘The Guys’

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of 9/11, Palm Canyon Theatre will present The Guys, a play by Anne Nelson on Saturday, Sept. 11, and Sunday, Sept. 12. The show stars THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS’ Judith Chapman (Gloria) and Michael Pacas.

In this powerful play, Chapman plays Joan, an editor who is enlisted by Pacas’ NY Fire Department captain to prepare eulogies for his men lost in the tragedy at the World Trade Center. Hearing details of each of their lives, Joan helps Nick compile the difficult, heartfelt speeches that honor “ordinary, great guys in an extraordinary situation” while he navigates his own emotional response.

Growing up the daughter of a retired Air Force general, Chapman understands and respects the sacrifices of our country’s military and first responders. She and Pacas are working together again on the PCT stage for the first time since their 2018 production of Blithe Spirit.

Showtimes for The Guys will be at 8 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Palm Canyon Theatre in Palm Springs, CA.
