Y&R Alum Max Page Recovering From Heart Surgery

Tags:

On Sept. 15, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS alum Max Page (ex-Reed) was back in Children’s Hospital Los Angeles again to prepare for another surgery scheduled for Sept. 20 to replace his leads and pacemaker. Following the procedure, his mother took to social media to update fans on his condition. “Max is settled in ICU,” she reported. “We got one of our favorite nurses and he’s in room 7, his favorite number.

“Tomorrow he should be more awake and begin to walk, do breath exercises, and hopefully get his chest tube out,” she added. “We are grateful for many wins today — no bypass, no transfusions, no complications, and no mom crying at hand-off (that was a special request). I also got to hold his hand while the nurse wheeled him down the hall to pre-op… one of my favorite moments with this tough young man. Please keep prayers for smooth recovery.”

Born with a congenital heart defect, Page has been in and out of the hospital as he’s undergone over a dozen surgeries through the years. And shortly before heading into the OR, the teen shared a special message with fans on Instagram. “Hey, everyone,” he said in a video recorded from his hospital bed. “Max here. I’m in pre-op right now so we’re about to go in and conquer this surgery. I just wanted to thank everybody for their support. It’s meant so much throughout this entire process. I can feel every single word of every single prayer and I’m so incredibly grateful for everything you guys have given me and my family. So I just wanted to say I’m doing great, I’m gonna beat this surgery, and thanks for all the support.”

We’re so glad to hear that Max made it through his surgery with no complications and wish him all the best for a very speedy recovery so he can go home again! Keep checking back here at SoapsInDepth.com for more updates!
