Melissa Ordway’s Daughters Take After Their Parents!
They say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and it looks like that could be true for Olivia and Sophie Gaston, the daughters of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS star Melissa Ordway (Abby) and her husband, Justin Gaston!
“Career Day at school,” Ordway shared on Instagram. “With an ‘Academy Award-winning actress’ and a ‘Pop Star singer.’ Dream big, my baby girls!”
In the photo, seven-year-old Olivia is wearing a blue dress with a white stole around her shoulders and a tiara on her head as she cradles a pretend Oscar in her arms. Five-year-old Sophie is wearing a shiny purple dress and a headset microphone while making a peace sign with her hand. And both girls are wearing matching shiny pink sneakers!
Olivia is taking after her mom, who is a successful actress with numerous credits in film and television on her resume besides her role on Y&R. Ordway can be seen in films like 17 Again, A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas, Ted, and Odd Thomas as well as in episodes of TV series like 90210, MELROSE PLACE, CSI: NY, and COLD CASE. And while she doesn’t have an Oscar, Ordway was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress at the 2022 Daytime Emmy Awards.
Gaston is also an actor, having originated the role of Ben on DAYS OF OUR LIVES and filling in as Chance on Y&R in 2020, but he is also a talented musician, releasing two albums — Pineville and Songs for Her (Demo Mixtape) — and opening for AMERICAN IDOL winner Kris Allen on tour. Recently, Gaston combined his talents by starring in the PureFlix original movie God’s Country Song as a country singer. So it looks like Sophie might be following in her father’s footsteps!
We’re sure whatever careers Olivia and Sophie pursue as they grow older, they’ll find nothing but success!
