Please join us in congratulating Reylynn Caster on her first anniversary as Faith Newman on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS! (Even if the young actress herself nearly missed it herself!) “The past two weeks were so busy with filming I didn’t realize I’d reached my one-year anniversary of playing Faith on Y&R!” Caster tweeted along with some screenshots of her first show. “I spent the first two weeks of filming laying in a bed!”
Caster’s first episode of Y&R aired back on April 12, 2021. And as viewers might recall, shortly after the actress made her daytime debut, Faith fell deathly ill and was stuck in the hospital for weeks as her family desperately tried to find a kidney donor to save her life. (It was Adam who turned out to be a match and it was the first step on his road to turning over a new leaf… this time!)
The character of Faith Newman was born to Sharon and Nick back in 2004 and was played by a series of twins before Alyvia Alyn Lind took over the role in 2011. McKenna Grace stepped in for a year in 2013, but Lind soon returned to portray the young woman as she grew into a teenager. However, in March 2021, Y&R announced another recast as Caster prepared to assume the part.
Caster, who already had primetime experience in series like ME, MYSELF AND I, AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE, and THE BIG SHOW SHOW, quickly won over daytime fans as she made the role of Faith Newman her own. One year down, and hopefully many, many more to come! Congrats!
