Sean Dominic Teases Nate’s Romantic Future on Y&R

Recent scenes on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS made it clear that despite their split, Nate and Victoria still have a strong connection. But could the pair ever rekindle their relationship and give love another try?

“Absolutely,” Sean Dominic (Nate) insisted to Soap Opera Digest. “They didn’t break up because they fell out of love. It was pretty much about her taking her family’s side and not sticking up for him.”

When Victor fired Nate from Newman and the whole family turned against him, Victoria unfortunately included herself in that group. However, when she sat down with Nate and opened up to him about discovering that Claire was the daughter she thought had died as a baby, he was happy to offer a shoulder for her to lean on.

“I really loved that scene,” the actor enthused. “It showed that Nate could still be there for Victoria even though he feels like he has to move on from her. I don’t even know if Nate thinks he did the right thing with breaking up with her, but he needed to get away from Victor and Nikki for a while.”

One thing’s for sure, it’s much more likely that Nate could reunite with Victoria than with his previous girlfriend, Elena! “I think that would be more on her,” Dominic mused. “He can beg and plead for another chance, but the last time they talked, Elena told him to stay the hell away from her. I think she would enjoy saying ‘I told you so’ — in a loving way!”
