Sharon Case Jokes About Living Life in Parking Lots (EXCLUSIVE)

Tags:

Life during the coronavirus pandemic has very different for everyone, but THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS star Sharon Case (Sharon) admitted that she was doing fine with all the changes… at least until the very day she sat down to talk with Soaps In Depth! “I found out that my gym had reopened and that they’re calling it ‘in the wild’ or something,” she explained. “I guess it means it’s outdoors. So I drove over and sure enough, it’s in a parking lot. I’m like, ‘Well, it’s better than nothing.’ So I work out in a parking lot.

“And last night we were gonna go out and then I didn’t want to because they set up the restaurant in a parking lot,” Case continued with a chuckle. “I don’t want to sit and eat in a parking lot! So first we’re gonna eat in a parking lot, then I worked out in a parking lot, and right afterward I left to go to the vet to pick up Marco, my dog, and they’re running the vet out of the parking lot! It just occurred to me today that I thought I was okay all this time but my life is happening in a parking lot!”

The actress can laugh about the situation as Los Angeles moves everything outdoors and into parking lots, but understands that’s not even an option for many parts of the country where the weather won’t allow it. She also knows full well that these are the kinds of adjustments that are necessary to keep everyone safe and businesses running. “I’d like to qualify it and say good for everyone trying to make do with COVID and make an adjustment and work out of a parking lot,” she added. “They made do. And people need to do that. So I think these are all good solutions.”

Case is also grateful for the adjustments and safety protocols that allowed Y&R to go back into production and continue telling its stories for the fans. “We all understand that safety is, of course, paramount to anything else,” she declared. “We’re glad to be back and we’re glad to be keeping all the protocols in and there’s no problem at all. It hasn’t bothered me. It hasn’t compromised my work at all. I don’t feel it’s really compromised the show. Hopefully, everything goes away soon and everybody remains safe and healthy.

“I don’t know what happened to me today,” Case concluded with a hearty laugh. “Too many parking lots on a Monday morning!”
