Tammin Sursok Opens up About Her Husband’s COVID Diagnosis

Tags:

Please join us in sending some love to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS alum Tammin Sursok (ex-Colleen), who is struggling with her husband’s COVID-19 diagnosis. The coronavirus pandemic has touched pretty much everyone in the world, and the actress decided to use her social media platform to share her fears. “My husband has COVID,” she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of herself looking quite overwhelmed. “And I’m scared. Today I’m not as scared as yesterday, but yesterday I felt very out of control. It was rough and touch and go. All the hospitals are full and his fever of 103 wouldn’t break for days and it got to a very scary place.”

Although initially unsure whether or not she even wanted to share this particular update on social media, Sursok admitted that she’s always been honest with her fans before and wanted to continue to do so. Thankfully, while husband Sean McEwen is sick, she and their daughters, Phoenix and Lennon, appear to be okay. “My girls and I have tested negative twice and have had no symptoms for a while,” Sursok reported. “We have been quarantining and following all recommendations and guidelines.

“We have been in the same place in Austin for two months now,” the former Y&R star continued. “Haven’t seen friends and family, haven’t eaten out, Phoenix is homeschooled. The only place we could have got it is the grocery store because we haven’t been near anyone and the whole family is always masked.”

The actress and musician wanted to share her own personal struggles with the virus in the hopes that sharing her anxieties would lessen them and help others in the same situation. “COVID is real,” Sursok declared. “It’s scary and I now see it first-hand. I’ve been really scared and in a dark place and I’m writing this to say I’m struggling and I love you all and this community.

“Thank you for listening,” she concluded. “We are in this together. We are. I promise you. Please wear a mask for yourself and for other people. This is not something you want to get. Thank you for being here. You light up my life. Always.”

We’re sure fans will join us in wishing Sean a speedy and full recovery and that Sursok and her daughters remain safe and healthy. And that hopefully, we will eventually be able to get past this devastating pandemic.
