Elena and Nate hit a crossroads in these THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS spoilers. Can their relationship survive or is it time to call it quits?

Everything seemed to be going wonderfully for Nate and Elena. They had overcome so many obstacles to finally find happiness together. But Nate’s recent behavior has proven too much for Elena to handle. Watching him battle with Devon at Chancellor-Winters was bad enough, but when he told her that he was working with Victoria to take control of the company when it goes public so he can be installed as CEO in Devon’s place, that was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

And taking some time apart doesn’t seem to have helped improve things at all. “The man that I’ve been holding onto,” Elena tells Nate, tears in her eyes, “is not the man who is standing in front of me.” But while she’s apparently ready to sever ties, Nate isn’t ready to give up without a fight. “We are stronger united than we are apart,” he argues.

Tears streaming down his face, Nate leans in for a tender kiss, which Elena returns. “You’re all I have,” he admits. “Come back home.” But she’s not sure that she can live with this new man that he’s become. A ruthless man she doesn’t recognize and isn’t sure she can love. “I don’t know, Nate,” Elena cries, shaking her head.
