When Chloe pays her a visit at the hospital, Chelsea has an update for her pal. “I found out that Dr. Hedges is not on my side,” she reveals. “So if I want to get out of here anytime soon, I’m gonna have to force his hand.” Because Chelsea is desperate to see her son and she can’t do it until she’s free. “He is determined to erase me from my son’s life,” she insists. But then Chelsea’s face grows calm again and she announces: “I have a new plan.”
But Adam is concerned about how far Chelsea will go to be with Connor again. “She’ll do whatever it takes to get her life back,” he informs Victor, who quickly replies: “That’s what I’m afraid of.” Victor struck a deal with Chelsea to put her in a mental institution instead of prison for trying to frame Adam for murder, and he’s beginning to suspect she’s not going to stick to their arrangement. “If she even thinks of betraying me,” Victor warns Adam, “she will have no longer any access to her son.”
Jack is taken aback to see how emotional Phyllis is acting as she turns to him for support. “There is nobody in the world who cheers me up like Jack Abbott,” she declares, trying to put on a brave face and hold back the tears. “I mean, there is nobody in the world with that Jack Abbott charm.” But is there anything Jack can do to cheer Phyllis up when she’s in this state?
Stitch pops into Society to see Abby. “What kind of friend would I be if I didn’t say goodbye,” he smiles. But is he really leaving Genoa City already? Or might Abby want him to stick around a bit longer?
