THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS Is Preempted Today

No one likes it when their favorite soap is preempted, but it’s a fact of life. Due to the planned Presidential address regarding Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS has been preempted on Feb. 24. CBS has chosen to air an encore episode — the special show celebrating Peter Bergman’s 30th anniversary on the soap — and preempt the regularly-scheduled episode to air the following day, on Friday, Feb. 25.

This is actually kind of good news for Y&R fans because it means that the preemption is national. Often, when a soap is preempted only in certain time zones but airs in others, viewers in the affected areas must go online to make sure they don’t miss an episode. This has unfortunately been the case for West Coast fans of Y&R and THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL as CBS has been airing European football championship games recently.

So enjoy the encore airing of this special episode of Y&R again and be sure to tune in tomorrow where the drama will pick up right where it left off on Wednesday!
