Tracey E. Bregman Shares the Most Rewarding Part of Being a Mom (EXCLUSIVE)
With Mother’s Day around the corner, we thought we’d ask THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS star Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren) what has been the most rewarding aspect of raising her two sons, Austin and Landon. “There’s so many things,” the actress admitted to Soaps In Depth, trying to narrow it down.
“You know, the first years of life are so incredibly magical,” Bregman admitted. “But I would have to say, close to those, the baby time and the birth, if you will… My sons are 25 and 31, and these last years of getting to know them as men and having like, a front-row seat at who they are, what they’re becoming, their growth, their lives, their potential, everything that they’re doing for themselves has been so extraordinary.”
Because after decades of milestones like losing their first tooth, graduating from high school and college, and more, there are still plenty more to come. Like when Bregman shared the exciting news on April 10 that her family would be expanding by one as Antonia Burchman accepted Austin’s proposal!
“I don’t know why I didn’t think this part would be as amazing, but it truly is,” the Y&R actress confided. “And the fact that my sons involve me so deeply in their lives, it’s a magical experience.”
Bregman also revealed that over the years, it’s not the Mother’s Day presents that she remembers best. “I don’t need gifts,” she declared. “I like my sons to write. And it’s those letters and those cards… that’s what means so much to me.”
For a mother to remain so close to her sons even as they’ve grown into adults and struck out on their own is a wonderful thing that Bregman treasures, especially since not all families can say that. “That’s why I feel so blessed about that,” she smiled.
