Y&R Alum Donny Boaz Teases His Exciting New Movie!

During his 2019-21 run as Chance on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, actor Donny Boaz earned a number of fans who have continued to follow him as he’s appeared in all kinds of new projects. And now he’s got a new one to announce!

“Started a new movie in Atlanta yesterday,” he reported on Instagram. “Bissonnet, directed by Jonathan Milton. “It’s a detective cat and mouse film. This is my partner in the film played by Omar Gooding. I’ve been watching this guy since I was a kid, back in the days of HANGING WITH MR. COOPER.” He also added hashtags for “#ilovemyjob” and “#godisgood.”

If Gooding looks familiar, you’ve probably seen the actor/rapper/comedian in any one of his countless appearances in primetime series like the aforementioned HANGING WITH MR. COOPER, BLOSSOM, DEADWOOD, or SINGLE LADIES. Or it could be you got him confused with his older brother, Cuba Gooding Jr.!

Since exiting Y&R in 2021, Boaz has appeared in episodes of The CW series ALL AMERICAN as well as the HBO mini-series THE STAIRCASE. He can also be seen in films like Flip Turn, Hidden Murder Island, and My Wife’s Hidden Lover. 

Milton’s own Instagram page specifies that the film they’re currently shooting is actually a sequel to Bissonnet called Bissonnet 2: Back on the Blade.
