Fans can look forward to seeing THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESSCamryn Grimes (Mariah) in a brand new holiday special! Well, look forward to hearing her, at any rate! The actress is joining her fiancé, Brock Powell, in voicing Mr. and Mrs. Claus for the new Disney special Mickey Saves Christmas!

“My family is Christmas obsessed and worked tirelessly to make it a magical time for me as a child,” Grimes admitted on Instagram. “I mean, I was practically raised on Rankin/Bass. So to be a part of a Disney Christmas stop-motion cartoon — as Mrs. Claus much less — has more weight and meaning than you could possibly know. I will cherish this forever, and I’ll see you all at the North Pole!”

Mickey Saves Christmas finds Mickey, Minnie, and their pals traveling to the North Pole on a quest to save Christmas after Pluto causes Santa to lose all of the presents on his sleigh. The stop-motion animated special premieres on Sunday, Nov. 27, at 7 p.m. ET, simultaneously on Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, and ABC. It will be available for streaming on Disney+ the following day.

Grimes joined the cast of Y&R back in 1997 as Cassie Newman and became the youngest-ever winner of the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress in 2000 when she was only 10. After her character was killed off in 2005, Grimes continued to return for appearances as Cassie’s spirit, ultimately returning to the soap in 2014 as the girl’s previously-unknown twin sister, Mariah Copeland.

In recent years, Grimes has moonlighted in primetime on episodes of ANIMAL KINGDOM, and NCIS, as well as in the movies The Get and the upcoming Haunted: 333. Back in September, Grimes had been teasing some big announcement related to Disney and now we know what it is! So make sure you tune in and enjoy all the holiday fun as Mickey Saves Christmas!
