Y&R’s Camryn Grimes Wants Your Help Planning Her Wedding!
Mariah recently married Tessa on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, but portrayer Camryn Grimes is still in the planning stages of her upcoming wedding to fiancé Brock Powell. The actress announced her engagement back in January, and now in July, has revealed that they have found the perfect location!
“Brock and I got a venue!” Grimes enthused on Instagram. “We are thrilled and although we’re going to wait a bit to reveal the venue, trust me when I say it is everything and more. Extremely us!”
Of course, now that she has a location, this is where the hard part starts, and the Y&R star wants some help from her fans and friends in making her big day as memorable as possible. “We’re getting married in San Diego, so now here’s where you guys come in,” she wrote. “I need suggestions of everything and everywhere San Diego has to offer in the wedding department! Send all the recommendations my way and I will love you forever. Well, I already do… but you get the picture.”
Fans watched Grimes grow up on screen starting when she joined Y&R back in 1997 as Cassie Newman. Although the character was tragically killed off the soap in 2005, the actress made occasional appearances as Cassie’s ghost in the years that followed and then returned full-time in 2014 as Mariah Copeland, a look-alike who turned out to be Cassie’s twin!
Powell is also an actor, doing voice work for films like Phineas and Ferb the Movie and Sherlock Holmes and the Great Escape as well as television shows like MICKEY MOUSE FUNHOUSE and BAYMAX DREAMS. The couple began dating back in March 2020, and he popped the question just a few months shy of their second anniversary with a proposal themed after the Disney movie Up.
