THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS Stars Celebrate Eric Braeden’s 40th Anniversary
The cast and crew of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS came together to celebrate Eric Braeden‘s 40th anniversary on the soap playing the iconic Victor Newman. Although technically the anniversary of Braeden’s first appearance on the soap was Feb. 8, the party was held the day before. Longtime co-star Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki) was one of the ones who took to the podium to share some heartfelt words about the actor. After talking about how neither understood why their characters were being paired together back in the ’80s until the sparks began flying, the actress explains the magic of their undefinable chemistry. “What an exhilarating road we have been blessed to travel on,” she concluded. “Happy anniversary, darling. You deserve all the happiness and accolades that your talent and instincts bring you.” Thankfully, someone recorded Scott’s entire beautiful speech on their phone so that she could share it with all of the fans.
Following the on-set party was a lavish celebration hosted by Prince Albert of Monaco at the Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood to cap off the day’s festivities! Oh, and don’t forget about the special episodes of Y&R celebrating Braeden’s anniversary beginning on Tuesday, Feb. 18!
