THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS’ Jessica Collins Has a Secret Plan for Emmy Night!
New mom Jessica Collins (ex-Avery, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS) had more good news recently when she learned she had received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Oustanding Supporting Actress!
“I ran into the house and yelled to my family that I’d been nominated,” she tells Soaps In Depth. “A minute later, we were all jumping up and down and screaming in the kitchen.”
Of course, having recently given birth to daughter Jemma, Collins has more to worry about than the May 1 ceremony. “Preparing for the Emmys is especially overwhelming this year,” she admits.
But she prides herself on taking the initiative to contact her good friends, George Guzman and Laura Schaffer, to help her out! “They’ve done my hair and makeup for the last four Emmy Awards,” Collins reveals. “They’re so incredibly talented. I know I’m in good hands in that department.
“The dress is definitely more intimidating,” she adds with a smile. “It’s been a while since I was in one. Actually… the last dress I wore was a maternity one!”
