DAYS’ Carson Boatman is a Dad!
Please join us in congratulating DAYS OF OUR LIVES star Carson Boatman (Johnny) on the birth of his first child! People was first to report the news that the actor and his wife, Julana Dizon, welcomed daughter Ava Rey on Dec. 18 on Los Angeles.
The couple’s beautiful baby girl weighed in at 8 lbs., 5 oz., and measured 19 in. long. According to People, Ava’s middle name honors her late grandfather, Reynaldo Dizon, who passed away in November after a long battle with lung cancer. “We are both absolutely over the moon about starting our family and being new parents!” the couple shared with the outlet. “It truly feels like we’ve found something we didn’t even know we were missing in our lives.”
Boatman and Dizon — who appeared as a model on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL back in June —announced that they were expecting a baby in August. They kept followers up to date on the progression of her pregnancy with social media posts, like their baby shower in October, and introduced their newborn by sharing some absolutely adorable photos of the family’s first days.
“Christmas came early this year,” the proud new girl dad wrote. “We are so in love with our sweet baby girl, Ava Rey, and can’t wait to see what this next stage of life will look like for the three of us.”
Boatman’s DAYS colleagues were quick to pipe in with messages of congratulations on Ava’s arrival. But perhaps the best comment of all came from pal Brandon Barash (Stefan), who welcomed his own little one, son Joaquin, in September. “Can’t wait to meet my future daughter-in-law!” he enthused. (Seriously, how cute would that be?!?)
