Daytime Emmys 2020: Review the Outstanding Drama Reels

With the Daytime Emmy Awards quickly approaching, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences is preparing for the big day when the winners are going to be revealed. Now that the nominees have officially been announced, NATAS has begun sharing clips of the reels that earned those nominations in the first place. However, these are just a sample because the Daytime Emmys revealed each show actually submitted two episodes to be judged for Best Drama and these are just clips of one of them.

THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL submitted the emotional episode where Liam desperately braved a terrible storm to take a helicopter to Catalina where Hope was giving birth to their child. DAYS OF OUR LIVES went with the first episode following the soap’s time jump where Jennifer emerged from her coma to learn that Salem had changed quite a bit over the past year. GENERAL HOSPITAL submitted its very special holiday episode where the cast presented their version of the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol. And THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS offered up the powerful hour where the residents of Genoa City mourned the passing of Neil Winters, played by the late Kristoff St. John.
