Daytime Emmys 2021: More Details Announced for This Year’s Show!

The 2021 Daytime Emmy Awards are coming up on Friday, June 25 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS, and more details about the show have finally been announced! Although things have not returned to what they were pre-pandemic, this year’s Daytime Emmys will include talent appearing on the Emmy stage in Los Angeles as well as the individual show studios and their homes to accept awards. And last weekend, there was a star-studded red carpet where the actresses looked amazing and the actors looked awesome!

The 48th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will feature special appearances by Kathy Lee Gifford, Ken Jeong, Martha Stewart, and Robin Roberts to pay tribute to the late legends Regis Philbin, Alex Trebek, and Larry King. In addition, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL actress Diamond White (Paris) is scoring and singing the song for the “In Memoriam” segment.

The broadcast show will announce the winners in all of the major categories, with additional winners announced on Twitter beginning at 5 p.m. ET and awards for Daytime Children’s Programming, Animation, and Daytime Lifestyle Programming will be given out in separate ceremonies in July. During Friday night’s show, the soap categories will include: Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Limited Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actress, Supporting Actress, Lead Actor, Supporting Actor, Younger Performer, Guest Performer, and Writing and Directing.
