Kristina Wagner Returns to GENERAL HOSPITAL!

The GENERAL HOSPITAL tribute to the late John Reilly (and his beloved alter ego, Sean Donely) is just around the corner. Viewers will see several familiar faces when the special episode airs on Friday, May 21… including Kristina Wagner as Felicia! The news of Wagner’s return was first announced by Deadline, as were details of how the soap will honor the character and his portrayer, who passed away on January 9.

As previously reported, Reilly’s real-life daughter, actress and TikTok influencer Caitlin Reilly, has been tapped by GH to play Sean’s daughter, Annie, for the tribute. And it appears that Reilly’s stunt casting isn’t just her character making a brief appearance at Sean’s gravesite. According to the soap’s description for the May 21 episode, while mourning the death of World Security Bureau agent Sean Donely, Felicia, Mac, Anna, Laura, and Kevin are pulled into a mystery involving Sean’s daughter, Annie.

GH viewers were disappointed when Wagner didn’t appear during the double non-wedding of Felicia’s daughter, Maxie, and good friend, Anna, back in March — especially since there was no official reason given as to why the actress wasn’t part of the bombshell episodes. The last time that Wagner appeared on the soap was a year ago, in May 2020, when Robert got drunk at the Floating Rib after receiving news of Holly’s death and Felicia called Anna for back-up. So while we didn’t get to see Felicia help Maxie through that dumpster fire of a wedding day, we are thrilled that the character will be part of the tribute to her good friend, Sean.

Reilly, who played Sean on and off for 11 years and was an integral part of GH’s history. Kimberly McCullough (Robin) is also rumored to appear in the celebration episode, as is Jacklyn Zeman (Bobbie). “This episode is meant to honor him and his contribution to the show’s rich history,” GH executive producer Frank Valentini told Deadline. “With so many fan favorites returning, new and longtime viewers will enjoy it. We had a lot of fun filming and I am grateful that we were also able to include his daughter. Viewers will hopefully also enjoy one more surprise return — it is just too amazing to spoil.”

We can’t wait to see Wagner in the episode — and which character that “surprise return” might be!
