Who Is Pikeman’s Roman Hume on GENERAL HOSPITAL?
As the Pikeman drama intensifies on GENERAL HOSPITAL, some viewers might find themselves curious about Roman Hume, one of the men working for the organization. The character first appeared back in December 2022 with Mark Engelhardt in the role. The actor returned for a couple of more appearances in May and September of 2023 before coming back again in the Dec. 1 episode.
Roman Hume is a representative for the Pikeman Security Group who first met with Sonny Corinthos and Dex Heller at a suite in The Metro Court to discuss using the ports held by the Corinthos organization to ship their goods through Port Charles. After Roman gave Sonny a suitcase of cash and left, Dex noted he could tell the guy was ex-military and recognized the name Pikeman, warning his boss to steer clear. But Sonny assured Dex it was all under control.
Months later, Roman met with Sonny and Brick at a warehouse where he revealed that the shipping crate contained plastic explosives. Unbeknownst to Roman (also Sonny and Brick), Dex had set up a hidden camera to get evidence for Michael Corinthos who was determined to bring Sonny down.
Although Michael ultimately didn’t use the evidence, Sonny was still arrested. In September, Roman met with Sonny after his release to offer him additional cash for his troubles. Sonny blamed Pikeman for the Feds getting false information and ordered Hume to find and plug the leak.
Roman arranged another meeting with Sonny in December where he was unhappy to learn that he would no longer move their merchandise through his ports even after doubling their offer. He then went to meet with Mr. Brennan to inform him that Sonny refused their offer. Roman was curious as to whether they should be focusing on Sonny or Anna Devane, and Brennan replied that both targets were a priority. Hume suggested they just kill Sonny, but Brennan explained that wasn’t an option. He also added that they needed to find the incriminating file that Anna used to have in her possession.
