Lindsay Hartley Mourns the Death of Her Beloved Mother

Please join us in sending love to soap alum Lindsay Hartley, who is mourning the death of her beloved mother, Wendy Korman, who had been battling cancer for almost two years. “You will be missed, Mom,” the actress shared on Instagram with a lovely photo of her mother and father, Jeff, posing together. “As painful as they have been, I’m grateful we had these past few years to bring us closer together than we ever have been. I’ll miss holding hands. See you when I see you. I love you.”

Back in May, Hartley shared a Mother’s Day post on Instagram where she revealed that her mom had been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer 18 months earlier and was receiving treatments at City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center in Duarte, CA.

Sadly, at that time, her mother’s condition had taken a turn for the worse. “The cancer has spread to a membrane under her lung,” Hartley reported at the time. “Just over a week ago, COH said there is nothing more they can do for her.”

Soap fans know Hartley best from the NBC soap PASSIONS, where she starred as Theresa for the entire run of the series, from 1999-2008. She then played Arianna on DAYS OF OUR LIVES from 2009-10, and Cara on ALL MY CHILDREN from 2010-11, reprising the role for the short-lived online reboot in 2013.

The actress then went on to appear in numerous television movies like Deadly Attraction, Romance at Reindeer Lodge, and Prisoner of Love, even stepping behind the camera and directing many of them. And in 2020 and 2022, Hartley returned to soaps to fill in for Kelly Monaco as Sam on GENERAL HOSPITAL for two brief stints.

Our thoughts are with Hartley and her entire family during this difficult time.
