Sweet little Kiera Skye isn’t Kristen Alderson’s only new baby: The soap vet has a brand-new movie! Alderson, who daytime viewers remember from her runs as GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Kiki and ONE LIFE TO LIVE’s Starr, headlines The Man In The Guesthouse, premiering on Lifetime on Sunday, February 18, at 8 p.m. ET.

“Ah! I’m making my television movie debut Feb. 18 on Lifetime,” the excited actress shared on Instagram. “Such an incredible experience!”

Ignacyo Matynia stars opposite Alderson as Brandon and Ashley Burke, a young couple who rent out their converted garage as an additional source of income. But before long, Brandon and Ashley realize that their lodger may not be the dream tenant that they thought he was!

According to makeup artist Kristina Goldberg, production on the movie took place in Los Angeles last May — around the time when Alderson discovered she was pregnant! “Kudos to all of the Lifetime actors. These movies are no joke to make,” Alderson added. “Especially thrillers! Lots of heavy breathing and crying. Loved it all so much, [the] best cast/crew. Can’t wait for us all to watch it!”

At least one of Alderson’s former soap colleagues will be tuning in to see the flick: her GH mom, Maura West (Ava). “Yay! Fabulous! These movies are my guilty pleasure! I can’t wait to watch you shine!”

Soap viewers watched Alderson grow up on OLTL playing Todd and Blair’s daughter, Starr Manning, the character she later brought over to GH after OLTL’s cancelation. After legal complications forced GH to stop using OLTL characters at the time, the new role of Ava’s daughter, Kiki Jerome, was created for Alderson. The actress earned three Daytime Emmy Nominations for her work on GH, taking home the trophy in 2013.

Since exiting daytime in 2015, Alderson has worked on some independent series and has performed in several stage productions, like alongside fiancé Taylor Crousore in Newsical The Musical in Las Vegas and A Musical About Star Wars. The Man In The Guesthouse marks Alderson’s first return to a major television network.

James Hyde (ex-Jeremy, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS) also appears in the film, which will be available for streaming the following day.
