OLTL Alum Eddie Alderson Celebrates His Anniversary

Tags:

Please join us in wishing a very happy anniversary to ONE LIFE TO LIVE alum Eddie Alderson (Matthew) and his fiancée, Sylwia Pracon! And yes, as the pair have not yet tied the knot, this is the anniversary of when they first began dating in August 2016.

“Happy 7!” she enthused on Instagram, sharing photos of the happy couple enjoying a night out. “Here’s to more frozen blood orange margaritas!” (You can see them holding the drinks in some of the photos in her carousel.

The couple announced their engagement back in May 2022, with Alderson quoting Billy Crystal’s character in When Harry Met Sally. “When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody,” he wrote, “you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.”

Alderson also expressed his love for his fiancée when she received her doctor of pharmacy degree from Temple University in May of this year. “The pride that I felt today for this girl,” he declared. “I’ve honestly never been more proud of anything in my life. The work that you’ve put in these last four years is so commendable. Through all of our crazy times these past four years, you never let it interfere with your schooling. She is the first doctor in her family, and most importantly, she is my future wife.”

Soap fans watched Alderson grow up on television as he played Matthew Buchanan on OLTL from 2001 until the soap’s final ABC episode in 2012, which is the year he received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Younger Actor. In November 2016, Alderson was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer and after receiving treatment, announced in September 2019 that he was finally cancer free.

Alderson hasn’t revealed if he and Pracon have set a date for their wedding, but we look forward to some beautiful wedding pictures in the near future! Keep checking back here at SoapsInDepth.com for updates!
