After 10 years, Darin Brooks has sadly parted ways with THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL as Wyatt… at least for the time being! Because as any soap viewer knows, an exit isn’t always a forever one! But for now, Brooks has confirmed that he is no longer a part of the current B&B cast.
The actor took to Instagram to address his status with the soap after viewers noticed that he’d been removed from the opening credits. “After 10 amazing years, it’s time for me to say, ‘Until we meet again’ to Wyatt Spencer,” he confirmed. “Doesn’t mean it’s the end. Just… bye, for now.”
Reflecting upon his decade-long run, Brooks — who celebrated his 10th anniversary in June — graciously thanked B&B executive producer Bradley Bell for the opportunity to play Wyatt. “You seriously changed my life,” he wrote. “Love and appreciate you, always.
“The experiences, the trips, the memories, the friendships… all will forever hold a special place in my heart!” he added.
Of course, Brooks couldn’t say goodbye to the soap without saying farewell to his on-screen father, Don Diamont (Bill), or brother, Scott Clifton (Liam). “You’re like family to me in real life, so I’ll see ya soon (offset),” he insisted, going on to share a message with the rest of his colleagues. “To all the cast and crew, too many people to mention, but just know I love you all and thank you for everything. A huge thank you to CBS for letting me be a part of your daytime family.”
He also expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the viewers who tuned in day after day. “To the many, MANY fans around the world watching this show… thank you! For always watching and enjoying what I love to do! You all touched my heart just by tuning in every day and being a part of our Bold and Beautiful family!”
Daytime Emmy-winner Brooks made his debut on May 21, 2013, joining B&B after previously playing Max Brady on DAYS OF OUR LIVES. Concluding his post, the fan favorite confessed that he was looking forward to what comes next. “Time to see what’s around the bend,” he mused.
Please join us in wishing Brooks well in his future endeavors!
