John McCook Previews His Christmas Movie With His Daughter, Molly!

Tags:

Fans of THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL’s John McCook (Eric) are going to want to mark their calendars for Friday, Nov. 19! That is the date that the legendary B&B actor will appear alongside his daughter — LAST MAN STANDING and GOOD TROUBLE actress Molly McCook — in Candy Coated Christmas, the first-ever scripted film for Food Network streaming exclusively on Discovery Plus.

Molly stars in the film as Molly Galant, a marketing executive from Beverly Hills whose life takes an unexpected turn when her next business venture goes bust. Molly had been counting on seed money from her dad (played by McCook), but the family business is practically bankrupt. The only chance Molly has of recouping the funds to cover her half of the new venture she’d planned with her best friend is to sell her late mother’s childhood home in the picturesque town of Peppermint Hollow, Washington. Molly has every intention of putting the house on the market and getting out of the peppermint capital of the world before Christmas. But when the current renters — handsome Noah Winters and his family — welcome her into their home and share with her their holiday traditions, Molly just may find inspiration for a newly “minted” business.

“I got to be Molly’s dad in this holiday treat,” McCook shared in one of several Instagram posts he’s made promoting the charming Christmas film. “Don’t miss it. Premieres November 19 on Discovery Plus [and will be streaming] all through [the] holidays.

Filmed in Utah back in August, Candy Coated Christmas is an extension of the Food Network’s growing holiday programming, especially since one of the network’s biggest stars, The Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond, appears in the film as bakery owner Bee in a role created especially for her. But for McCook and his daughter, working on Candy Coated Christmas together is a special holiday moment they will forever remember. “I’m so proud of her,” the soap legend raved of his daughter in another Instagram post, adding that it was “a dream for both of us to work together. Put this in your calendars to get in the holiday spirit! We all need it.”

Check out the trailer below for Candy Coated Christmas below, and then head over to Discovery Plus on Nov. 19, to watch the feel-good holiday film!
