Kim Matula Is “Checkin'” Her Christmas List!

Tags:

After making her Hallmark Channel debut in Ghosts of Christmas Always last year, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL alumna Kim Matula (ex-Hope) is returning to the cable network for another feel-good holiday film! The actress stars opposite Hallmark staple Kevin McGarry in the new Christmas film Checkin’ It Twice, debuting Friday, Oct. 20, at 8 p.m. ET, as part of the network’s “Countdown to Christmas” programming event.

In Checkin’ It Twice, Matula appears as Ashley, a real estate executive, and McGarry (who stars as Nathan on the network’s popular drama, WHEN CALLS THE HEART) as Scott, a minor league hockey pro. Moments after they have each broken up with their significant others, Ashley and Scott bump into each other at an Idaho airport gift shop and accidentally pocket each other’s credit cards when making their purchases. Needing a break from her high-pressure job in New York City, Ashley is home in Trout Falls to visit her family over the holidays, while new-to-town Scott will be playing for the local Division III hockey team, hoping to keep alive his dream of making it to the NHL.

Fate once again puts Ashley and Scott on the same path when she learns he’s staying in her hockey-loving family’s guest house, and sparks begin to fly when the two spend time together enjoying the town’s holiday festivities. But when Scott is called up to play on a Division II team, and Ashley has a shot at a high-profile real estate deal back in New York, will they part ways forever… or realize that their new dreams are being with each other instead?

Check out a preview for Checkin’ It Twice below, and then tune in on Oct. 20 to see Ashley and Scott take a shot at love!
