Krista Allen Reveals Why She’s Wearing a Bandage on B&B

Eagle-eyed fans have noticed a bandage on a character that hasn’t been explained on-screen and led them to wonder what happened to Taylor’s hand on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL? Well, the reason the soap is being subtle about the injury is that Taylor is fine, but her portrayer, Krista Allen, was badly burned recently.

“Long story,” the actress explained on Twitter. “I’m fine now! I saved someone from a house fire and my hand got mangled. The pics are ga-ross, so I’ll spare you.”

We’re glad that Allen is okay and wasn’t hurt any worse as she was being a good samaritan. When another fan also noticed that in addition to the bandage on her left hand, her fingernails were also different, the actress explained: “Yes! My nails were gone!”

Of course, even with such a bad burn, Allen is still keeping her spirits up and amazingly has a sense of humor about the whole thing. “Funny story,” she tweeted. “In that scene, I tried to use the press-on nails that makeup department gave me to match… but they kept popping off.”

Thankfully, the flesh-toned bandage that Allen has been wearing has already been growing smaller with subsequent episodes so the actress is already on the mend.
