Lauralee Bell Previews Her Y&R Anniversary Show

Tags:

CBS already announced that it would be celebrating Lauralee Bell’s 40th anniversary on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS with a special flashback-filled episode on Thursday, Nov. 2, and now the actress has shared a promo giving fans a little taste of what they can expect to see!

“So a few things,” she posted to Instagram. “The last two words of this promo could be my favorite two words in the 40 years I’ve been on! Cricket saying “bite me” just makes me laugh! Of course, I had no recollection of that scene (which those of you who know me a bit better won’t be surprised) so it was fun to be shown it again! And Michelle [Stafford, Phyllis], we look like we’re doing a shiny hair commercial.”

As Christine looks back at her life, those memories will also impact her decisions going forward. “Yes, there will be flashbacks,” Bell explained, “but I’m so grateful this anniversary episode is a bit different and you see a lot of present time as well. I hope you’ll tune in Thursday because as you can see, it’s filled with some of my favorite people in the world plus a few not seen in this clip.”

Bell made her first appearance as Cricket back in July 1983, and just three years later, was put on contract with the soap. Viewers have watched her grow up on screen and turn Cricket into Christine — and even bring the character over to sister soap THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL in 2007!

“Super grateful to all of you who have gone on this journey with me!” Bell concluded. “I never take it for granted!”
