Michael Graziadei Returns to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS!

Tags:

A familiar face is coming back to Genoa City! Michael Graziadei is returning to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS as Daniel Romalotti! CBS promised plenty of fun surprises for the soap’s upcoming 50th anniversary, and that includes bringing back some fan-favorite characters, so this could be just the start!

Soap Opera Digest broke the news exclusively, reporting that Graziadei should first air this fall. Daniel was born in 1994 and played by a series of child actors until 2004, when Cam Gigandet briefly stepped into the role. The character was then recast with Owen Beckman, who didn’t even air because Graziadei was quickly brought in. He portrayed Daniel from May 2004 until January 2013, though he did make an appearance in 2016 as part of Y&R’s anniversary celebration.

Daniel has been mentioned recently on the soap as Phyllis left Genoa City to go visit her son for a little while. But what brings Daniel back home? With his mother neck-deep in drama because of her rivalry with Diane, he might be trying to support her… or consoling mom because one of her schemes backfired badly!

Graziadei has been keeping very busy outside of daytime, with roles on AMERICAN HORROR STORY, THE SECRET CIRCLE, THE LOTTERY, KINGDOM, GOOD GIRLS REVOLT, and most recently, Netflix’s THE LINCOLN LAWYER. The actor also started a family — he and his partner, Lauren, welcomed twin sons Oliver and Arlo on Aug. 25, 2021.

There is no information yet as to how long Graziadei will be back on the canvas, so keep checking back here at SoapsInDepth.com for more updates and keep watching Y&R to see what brings Daniel home and what kind of drama he gets mixed up in while he’s here!
