This sequel to the highly-rated 2013 TV movie, The Wrong Woman, finds Danica McKellar’s Ellen Plainview forced to defend her daughter (Searcy) in court when the young woman is arrested for the murder of one of her teachers. With no experience in criminal law, the single mother seeks help from Ben Saverin (Bennett), a novelist she met earlier when she herself was on trial for a murder she did not commit.

Lilley plays prosecutor Kimberly Bains, and declared, “Working with Danica McKellar was pure joy. I’ve never had more fun throwing someone dirty looks and then smiling as soon as the director called cut!”
